Permit Prep

Florida window and door permits

Florida window and door permit checklist.

Window and door permits are product-heavy. The form is only part of the job; the packet often needs product approvals, design pressure/model information, installation documents, affidavits, and inspection notes.

Information and packet organization only. Official building departments control final requirements and permit approval.

1Product approval detailsGather Florida Product Approval or Miami-Dade NOA information when applicable, including manufacturer, model, approval number, expiration/status, and installation method.
2Design pressure and stickersInspectors may need factory-applied stickers or documentation showing design pressure and model information. Do not remove job-critical stickers before inspection unless your local agency says otherwise.
3Owner-builder vs contractorIf the property owner files as owner-builder, eligibility and disclosure requirements must be checked. If a contractor files, contractor license/registration and insurance documents may be part of the packet.
4What Permit Prep doesWe organize the forms, public links, product-document checklist, missing information, and filing notes so the authorized person has a cleaner packet to submit.
