Synthetic quote-to-memo sample

What a rough re-roof quote turns into after the $99 packet check.

Use this proof page when someone has a quote, product sheet, supplier row, or portal screenshot but does not know whether it is enough for the permit packet. The deliverable is a short readiness memo: what is usable, what is missing, and what the authorized contractor or office should confirm before filing.

Synthetic example only. Packet-readiness review only. No permit approval guarantee, legal/code advice, engineering, portal filing, signatures, fee payment, or contractor responsibility transfer.

Before

Raw information the buyer might already have.

The buyer does not need a perfect packet to start. Unknowns become follow-up flags.

Synthetic starting point

Job: 123 Sample Oak Dr, Orlando FL
Jurisdiction note: Orange County Fast Track likely; verify city/county routing before filing.
Quote line: Remove/re-nail deck as needed. Install Owens Corning Duration shingles.
Product note: Shingle product sheet says Florida Product Approval available; exact FL # not shown on quote.
Underlayment: Peel-and-stick at valleys/eaves noted. Field underlayment not specified.
Portal screenshot: Asking for Product Approval and roof assembly details.
Unknowns: deck type, slope, mean roof height, selected underlayment, drip edge/starter/hip-ridge details.

After

Example memo returned from the $99 check.

The paid check opens current public sources for the real job, cites source links where available, and separates ready fields from missing details.

Sample packet-readiness memo

1) Ready from the quote
- Job address and shingle manufacturer/product family are present.
- Scope indicates re-roof rather than new construction.
- Portal screenshot confirms Product Approval / roof-system details are the immediate friction point.

2) Missing before filing
- Exact Florida Product Approval or Miami-Dade NOA row for the selected shingle.
- Underlayment product and installation method.
- Deck type, roof slope, mean roof height, and attachment/fastener assumptions.
- Any Notice of Commencement trigger based on contract value.

3) Contractor / office handoff
- Confirm official product rows from current public sources before upload.
- Have the authorized contractor review, sign, upload, pay fees, and handle corrections.
- Treat this memo as packet organization and missing-info review, not code/legal/engineering advice.
Short handoffSend whatever is in front of you.Quote, scope, product sheet, supplier row, permit comment, or screenshot. Partial information is okay.
BoundaryThe contractor still owns filing. The memo helps organize packet readiness. It does not file, sign, pay fees, provide engineering, or guarantee permit approval.
